Luke & Heather - Wedding | Teshon Christie | Seattle | Miami | Denver Wedding Photographer

When Heather first contacted me a year ago to ask whether or not I would shoot her wedding I was honored and humbled. Heather is the type of person that everyone needs as a friend. Shes encouraging while staying honest. Gracious but accountable. Completely trustworthy and loyal. Luke is the perfect match for her. Considerate with his words and deeds. Steadfast and patient. Giving without demanding anything in return. Luke & Heather are the rarest combination of people. If I had to sum it all up in one word it would be genuine. To spend time with them during their big day was an honor that I couldn't take lightly.

Fast forward 12 months to a perfect day on a family farm at the Larralde home in Fort Collins Colorado. The bridesmaids and the groomsmen dressed in a classic black. While Luke & Heather sport white and compliment each other perfectly. It's rare to be at a wedding where everyone is completely focused on the bride and groom. So it's no small wonder how the way that Heather & Luke looked into each others eyes pulled everyone into the love that they openly shared with each other. The ceremony was filled with moments that touched you in a personal way. I'm grateful to have been a part of it.

This is an excellent catch by Claire my second shooter for the day.

Heather being assisted by one of her matrons Cass.

This flower girl & ring boys combination got along like they had known each other for years. Just following Heather & Lukes lead.

All eyes were on them, but you would have never known it. At this moment there wasn't anyone else in their world.

Pure bliss.

There was no way that Luke was going to be hijacked on his way down the aisle.

We had to take advantage of all that corn.

Heather and her Father.

Some opt for a waltz. Some a simple slow dance. Luke & Heather put on a display of teamwork.

My hope for Luke & Heather is that their example of love touches many lives. That they can use the power of who they are together to give to their friends and family in lasting ways. And that their relationship continues to grow into what they both want and deserve. Have an excellent life together.

You couldn't have scripted the day any better. The whole event ran without a hitch. Expertly directed by Danielle Odil of Something Classic Events. Sounds by A Music Plus who did an excellent job of blending country pop and dance tunes to keep the guests moving all night. The excellent variety of photogenic roses and table pieces were by Finishing Touches. The brides hair was expertly done by Cindy Nelson of Chez Tresse salon. While the bridesmaids hair was skillfully done by Richard Martin. Makeup by Peggy of Europa Salon. Catering by Sackits Hotshot Catering. Transportation by A1A/TLC Limo Service .

I would also like to give special thanks to my 2nd shooter for the day Claire Clark-Cox of cycphotography. Thanks for stepping in and doing an exceptional job. I truly appreciate the work that you did.

Sharon & Edgar - Wedding | Teshon Christie | Seattle - Denver - Miami Wedding Photographer

Sharon and Edgar are superstars.

When we met for our initial interview it felt more like I was meeting friends for a coffee than an actual meeting. Edgar was warm and generous with his compliments. Sharon was (and is) just pure joy. She smiled the entire time and kept stealing glances at her husband to be. At that moment I was convinced that not only did I want to shoot their wedding, but I had to. When they called me to say that I had been hired, I was beyond excited for the opportunity to be a part of their day.

And what a day it was. They were married in beautiful Crandon Park, which is located in tropical Key Biscayne Florida. Followed by a reception event that rivaled any celebration I had ever been to. From their grand entrance, to "La Hora Loco" complete with a drum band and men on stilts to their getaway on a boat, everyone that went will remember this day for the rest of their lives.

The love that Sharon & Edgar show for everyone they know is remarkable. Their steadfast devotion to God, their friends and each other is always evident. Their entire courtship and engagement was based on absolute purity, which is rare. They are the people you want to be around. The first people you call if you're having a dinner party and the kind of people you want to stay long after the party is over. Their genuineness of character makes you want the best for them.

And I genuinely do.

Ready to go.

The limo ride to the venue.

Anticipation starting to build.

This is one of my most favorite images ever. Rather than jumping into the first kiss. He cherished it and really showed her the respect he knows she deserves. An amazing moment.

A classic wedding feel.

She worked the single ladies into a frenzy. Dangerous times.

And one of the most unique getaways I've ever seen.

I want to thank Sharon & Edgar for allowing me to spend time with them through their engagement and wedding. I truly appreciate the honor of capturing your day.

I pray that Edgar and Sharon only grow in their love for each other and their example of love to everyone they know.

Sneak Peek - Edgar & Sharon - teshon christie - denver | miami | seattle wedding photographer

Here's a sneak peek from an incredible wedding experience. I can honestly say I haven't been to many parties that had this much positivity, energy and fun.

Let alone a wedding with all that.

More photos of a truly blessed day coming soon.

Edgar + Sharon (Just You, Just Me)

I enjoy engagement sessions.

They give me and my beautiful assistant (my wonderful wife) a chance to meet the couple and get to know each other before the big day. You can't even begin to imagine how important it is to not have the wedding day be the 1st day you meet. I digress...

Sharon and Edgar are the cool kids, but in a humble way. Unassuming but confident. Along with being two of the kindest people you could ever meet they look stunning together and seem to soak up each others company. We took a little walk around the beautiful Coral Gables Prado and tried to see if we could blend in with the classical surroundings. I think they pulled it off.

A little out of order but I love shoe shots.

While we got ready I snapped this one.

Sharon kept sneaking these little looks at Edgar. Right when he looked away most times.

Caught her again.

I'm so grateful and honored that they asked me to shoot their wedding in a couple of months. After our little Sunday in the park, I'm looking forward to it.
